Near drowning in Pecan Creek
At approximatley 10:40am, April 28, 2022, Rural Metro units from San Tan Valley responded to a report of an 8-month old male near drowning.
According to people on the scene, the child was part of a swim survival school. During the training the child inhaled water and went unconscious for approximately 30 seconds. The instructor on scene immediately administered CPR and revived the child prior to emergency responders arrival. The child was transported to a local hospital for precautionary evaluation.With the warmer temperatures rolling in, please remember to watch children around water and take the time to learn CPR.
